Welcome to The Cottonworks!
ABOUT
The Cottonworks is nestled away on the banks of the river Derwent in the oldest building in the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Darley Abbey Mills.
We serve speciality coffee & teas, a fine breakfast & lunch menu during the daytime, our Pizza Kitchen is open throughout the day. Our Bistro menu starts early evening on a Wednesday through to Saturday & Sundays are all about the roasts!
Born out of a love of really good food, wine & coffee by friends David; (Lorentes) and Nichol & Andy from Darley Abbey Wines, the idea for The Cottonworks is inspired by those little Cornish seaside social hang out’s that serve really great coffee’s and brunches by day, before morphing into lovely intimate bistro’s by night.
The Cottonworks Cafe
The Cottonworks Cafe is a neighbourhood gathering place with barista-served speciality coffees and teas, pastries & cakes on a Monday & Tuesday, then from Wednesday, the kitchen opens during the day for fine breakfasts, chalkboard lunch’s & Pizzeria.
*NEW* OUTSIDE RIVERBANK TERRACE
We have made the necessary changes to be able to open the riverbank space from 12th April.
With more riverside views, outside heaters & umbrellas when needed; this will initially be our entire trading space during this ‘outdoor only’ dining period.
The Cottonworks Bistro
The Cottonworks Bistro offers something a little more intimate Wednesday to Saturday evenings where our Head Chef; George and his team serve up a seasonal menu. Sundays are all about the roasts here! Our new Pizzeria runs all week.
All menus are here on our website.
