The Cottonworks is nestled away on the banks of the river Derwent in the oldest building in the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Darley Abbey Mills.

The Cottonworks Cafe

The Cottonworks Summer Cafe
Open during the summer months; The Cottonworks Cafe is a neighbourhood gathering place with barista-served speciality coffees and teas, pastries & cakes.

Riverbank Terrace
68 covers on two levels with riverside views from every table. We have several patio heaters and parasols.
The riverbank area is adult only for Cafe & Bistro.

Inside The Cottonworks
We have 80 covers spread out in the ‘nooks & crannies’ of this fascinating 18th century building.

We have 7 parking spaces directly outside the bistro, and there is additional parking 100 yards away in the general car park for the mills.

The Cottonworks Bistro offers lunch (including daily set menu & specials) & an evening service, Wednesday to Saturday as well as a fine Sunday Roast.

Our Head Chef; George and his team serve up a seasonal dishes from a fresh food kitchen.

Booking in at the bistro is essential throughout the weekend.

Sample menus are here on our website although its a ‘moveable feast’ here with almost daily changes to the menu as new exciting things arrive to market.
